Seed Vibrations is born from a deep calling to share the power of sound with others, to remember our true nature- that we are Nature itself.
We create from a place of deep reverence for the Earth and all its life forms, and an ever increasing awareness of their vulnerability. We are especially inspired by our home island, Faial, in all its oceanic and volcanic glory, a true geological wonder, and all the elements that surround us.
It is our wish that by inspiring people to connect deeply with themselves, a sense of our interconnectedness with all life re-emerges. This plants a Seed for living in harmony with each other and the whole, and to trust in our collective power to act in service of the Earth, through small and big steps, but first and foremost, by BEING HERE NOW.

Originally from France, Betty first came to Faial in 2014 following a dream. With a background in Marine Biodiversity and Conservation, she was drawn to study devil rays, the gentle giants that migrate seasonally to the islands' offshore seamounts. Contributing to their conservation through research, community work and policy became her quest for over a decade, launching a project in Indonesia, completing a Phd, and working as a consultant for an international NGO. In parallel with this deep calling, two chance encounters with false killer whales while freediving, and a life-changing Sound Journey in Bali in 2020, planted a Seed of intention. Shortly after, she pursued a Sound Healing training with Cosmic Gong and a Yoga teacher training with a Himalayan yogi, which ignited an inner journey that she continues to tread. Taking time to refine her understanding of how she wants to contribute to the world, she cares for her children and plants seeds (the ones you can eat, too).
Rui was born and raised in Faial. He studied Geography and Film Production, further working for RTP Açores before embarking on a journey across Europe in 2004, where he visited and volunteered in ecovillages and alternative communities. During this time, he trained in Permaculture design, natural building techniques, the use of medicinal plants and natural remedies, as well as photography and videography. He works primarily with giant reed (Arundo donax) and bamboo, using these natural materials to build structures, craft musical instruments, and create handmade objects. Driven by a desire to share the world of sound and its therapeutic benefits with a wider audience, Rui completed a Sound Healing training course with Cosmic Gong in 2023- the exploration & creation continues.
